Hi,A quick note about what's happening with this newsletter.We've closed the TechScoop news operation. The sites are down and the daily tech coverage has ended. What we're building instead is something I care a lot more about, and I think it's better.The newsletter is becoming Cunningham. One issue a week, Saturday morning, written by me. It's about companies and the people who run them - how they get built, how they get sold, and how the smartest people in the room still manage to blow it. Empires, deals, egos, and the decisions that looked brilliant at the time and aged terribly.The first stretch is about the studios: how MGM got sold for parts, who ends up with Warner Bros, and what those fights say about the business. After that, wherever the good stories are.It's the written half of what we do. The other half is Cunningham on YouTube, where the same stories run as long-form documentaries twice a week.
